Textured Wall Hangings & Fridge Magnets – Session One: Make & Texture

About this workshop

Get hands-on with clay and create your own textured wall hanging and a set of fridge magnets. In this first session, you'll shape your pieces and explore pressing, stamping and impressing techniques to build up surface pattern, using found objects, tools and natural materials to make each piece unique. Your work will then be left to dry, ready for you to add colour and glaze in Session Two. We'll attach the magnets for you once everything is finished, so they're securely fixed and ready to use. Each session starts with a short health and safety introduction and ends with cleaning down the space together, helping you build good studio practice. No experience needed, and all materials are provided. Don't forget to book Session Two! Your pieces won't be finished without it. Session Two is where you'll add colour and glaze, so please book both sessions to complete your wall hanging and magnets.
